“Unbind Your Mind”

Janelle will go out on a limb and say that there’s probably no personal characteristic that will determine the trajectory of your life more so than your creativity. Creativity is particularly essential in the speaking world.

She invites you to join her on November 18 to celebrate and uncover the creativity that is abundant in you.

She’s been talking about this for so many years now, that she guarantees you will be more creative when you leave this program.

She’s been looking at creativity for about 35 years now, mostly for her own development.  She earned a PhD from UC Berkeley in political science and education and figured out pretty quickly that these advanced degrees are good union cards, but they force thinking into a straight jacket.  Once she left “education“ she decided she wasn’t interested in working in large institutions and got involved in business where she has lived for the last 50 years. But at heart she is an educator. You’ll see that in her presentation.

Her speaking career has taken her around the world, speaking in 68 countries. Much of her global work took her out of the US, some years spending more than 50% of her time out of the country.  In her early 20s, she lived in Taiwan for three years, and all this exposure to many different businesses and cultures have had a tremendous impact on how she looks at possibilities.

At the present, she has made a decision to stop her platform work, determined to reduce time in airplanes, having accumulated some 4.5 million miles on United Airlines. She has written a best-selling book, A Complaint is a Gift. She is working in the Writer’s Academy and has completed another book in the field of complaint handling. She’s is determined to apply her creativity to professionalize the field of service recovery.
